Default 5 inch lift - 35 in Tires ???

I found this when I was about to order the 3 inch body lift. I know it is just the 3 in Body lift lift with the leveling kit, But will this be enough for 35 in Tires????, I really do not think so
Does anyone have this yet????????

If it does, it will not use stock rims (16 inch)

depending on your gear ratio, go ahead and do it. coondog05 has something similar to that set up. drop him an email or check out his truck in his gallery

the answer is no! with leveling kit and 3"body lift you can get 285/75/rim size.... hair under 33,s.... depending on rim backspacing of rims, might even rub at full lock. when i did mine i had 1/2 wheel spacers and i had to lose them cause my m/ts rubbed at full crank. whatever back spacing stock rims are would be fine! hope this helps... plenty beefy looking with 33,s no need to get crazy with larger unless you like fabricating.....have fun

Coondog, do you have a hitch in the back? Does it look goofy hanging down so low? Do you have any pics or can you take some? Thanks

Default Customer Service

I talked to customer service and the kit is the 3 inch body lift and the 2 in leveling kit with gap guards for the body lift.

That being said, I do not think it will cover 35's either. The max size that I was contimplating was LT 255/85R16 with stock Rims. They are 33-1/2 in tall but are only 255 wide to help with rubbing.

I like the setup that coondog has. I have an 07 4X4 with the off road package and the Tow package. The Class 4 Hitch will sit 3 inches low with the body kit and the tow hooks on the fron will not go through the slots for them so I will probrably ditch those.

Coondog, Did U use Blocks for the Rear. Can U e-mail me some details. I am ready to get it ready, Since it is the tow package it has 245 tires with 3.73 gears. And they look very small since it also has the 4X4 Offroad package.

Thanks

yes i have a hitch... i also put 2" blocks in the rear. no need for rear blocks but i did them cause i like the rake look personally... 1"inch would look nice if you like the level look. i like the wide tires and stance with the rake and im not sure if that size tire you describe will look "wagon wheel" ish being so thin! it should help on the rubbing but anything over 33" will be way tight! expecially if you plan on "working" the suspension and turning. when my mudders were new they would rub if i was fully cranked and used the suspension...expecially in reverse... and they were under 33". tow hooks gotta go! hitch dont look bad in my opinion... fairly easy install...did it with no help in a day... only big pain was the steering extension and cutting the radiator supports on one side! go for it!

Anyone want to sell the front tow hooks? Mine doesn't have them. Unless I decide to lift mine too. Does the steering extension come with the kit?
