Default You guys have it all wrong.

You see, the truck's front-end was actually designed by a inner-city low rider who wanted to appeal to the "bounce" market. This is a feature not a flaw! :P
On a more serious note, my "big tough 4x4" has to go slower over the speed bumps on my street than my wife's PT cruiser. This may be due to angle of attack+body length+weight+etc, but it is still embarassing.
My biggest wish for Chrysler would be to worry less about changing the body looks (ala the 2008 vs 2007) and more about important stuff like engine (they did a good job in the 2008 v8 redesign, now lets see a diesel rigged for bio fuel and a diesel hybrid) and maybe add locking differentials like the Rubicon and fix the known issues with the front-end.
Chrysler really has an unsung winner in these trucks. Its too bad most people don't "get" them, but on the plus side that means we get a great vehicle for dirt cheap.

What years are affected by the bad struts? Was any kind of TSB released or is Dodge denying that a problem exists?

I like going fast over bumps . There's also a dip near my friend's house, where I always kick it up to like 40mph to hit it just right. You hit it right, it makes you feel weightless for a second then a deep dip, ah good feeling!

I had my fronts changed at about 36000 miles because of the inner pistons in the shock having too much travel. I'm at 46000 miles and they're gone again, of course, with no warranty. And, it was a fight to get the first set replaced. It took me 2 months to get the dealership to admit there was something wrong with them. They basicall y told me that the front shocks were crap, but Chrysler wasn't doing anything about it. Not very good customer service for such a big company!

Mine had to be replaced I believe around 25K. They only paid for one, so I dumped oil over the other shaft so it ran down the srut. I waited a few weaks so it got some dust into it. Off to the dealerand guess what. You have a leaking strut it will be replace free.

anyone make an aftermarket front strut yet? i've looked but i have yet to find one. mu 06 is dropped 2.5 in the front and the local shop wants 1500 to build a set of rebuildable race struts and coil-overs.

lol i had to read this thread, 117K on my original suspension and she still rides like a dream,
pothole clusters at 40-45 and its like they arent even there, stiff as hell on the freeway... haha

Sdtalon welcome to DF! You can currently get Monroe Sensa-Tracs and Rancho 5000 series shocks for the front. Whether either will work well with a 2.5" drop I can't say. How did you lower the front end?
