headers
well im pretty sure they do NOT make a long tube header for our trucks even for the 4.7 at all.. so im just gonna get them... and eric there is a big difference between long tubes and shorties on other vehicles most people say shorties are a waste....... but well see im gonna get them and ill put them on let you guys know how it went and if its worth it or not...
went ahead and bought them this morning, got a pretty good deal so im happy..... will update once installed...

About to pick up my truck, it cost 300 bucks to redo that thread. They had to jack the engine up, remove the motor mounts to get to it. I asked how much it would have cost for them to install the headers for me, they said around the same price. In my opinion, I would have rather spent the 300 bucks from the beginning and avoided this whole mess.
hey r/t... they arent a bad job...the drivers sides a pisser though. theres a few bolts that are tough, tucked behind tubes! they take forever at a quarter turn at a time... WD the night before and get them hot before disasembling...let the truck run and let it cool to just below "burn your fingers off" temp! taking your time is key with headers! oh and big time patients with a few pesky bolts..... enjoy!
I know with the Hemi, shorties aren't worth the price, unless maybe you save the labor installing yourself and get a great deal on the headers.
IMO you go with LTs any situation where fitment or the state guvment ain't an issue...

i took the tires off and did most threw there...a few might be reached from under but none from above... dont laugh yet! there are a few tough to reach bolts on the install not the removal... and removing the steering shaft isnt neccesary but might help!
