No way that both those keys are for the same vehicle.Take a ruler and measure some points, just doesn't add up.

They clearly are from the same vehicle. The only difference in the profile are the two notches near the bottom on the old key.

My key has no sharp points left; all smoothed down. Haven't compared to my spare, but it still works....

That's kinda sad.
You all need to get yourselves some spares made!

My old 94 integra key was worn down like that but it still started the car. In fact we found out one day it would also start the 95 accord my friend's mom drove...

wait wait wait, those two keys are NOT the same cut...

One of them has a different cut entirely...right? (one is for doors only or somthing)

If thats the case, the one on the left looks just only a few years old to me. Nothing out of the ordinary. I have seen car keys so worn down I couldn't understand how in the hell they worked, and they did.

Those keys look to be in pretty good shape.

Am i missing somthing?

I had this happen to me with last car. It was only an '04, but after I had the car for about 2 years, the factory key would fit in the ignition, but would not turn the car on. Luckily I had a spare that I had never used, and that worked fine for me. Never did find out what caused the key to wear down like that.
