Could be, but since the cable is out and the shift lock thing is disconnected, I don't know if that will work. I may have to wait and install the new one on the shifter before I get the tranny to manually change gears.

you may need to turn the key to the on position in order to move the linkage. also if someone is avail. have them push the truck back and forth to take the weight of the tranny. ever park on a hill and have a hard time getting to get out of park. then you hear the big clunk when it finally moves.
