Lifting a Dakota with dual spacers
#21
I'm hoping to build my blocks this weekend. I'm going to make them 1.75 and make another .25 spacer if it doesn't raise it enough. I'm also going to take a look at dropping the center section 1"
I'm trying to run 265/75/16 on 10" rims. I might have to get a body lift and yes I know it will stretch the tires on those rims but I know I can't clear 285's

Contacted a manufacturer of Dakota/Mitsubishi lifts. They make 2.5 and 2.0 lift kits for the front of the trucks. CCMoffroad is the company.
4WD trucks, here is what it boils down to. 2" is the highest you can go with the CV driveshafts, 2.5" can be done but there is a catch. You can only use 4WD offroad and cannot use 4WDLOCK on the highway. Now if you are in a snowy situation or you are all time 4WD you wont be able to use the 2.5" lift.
So overall the highest you can go in front is 2 inches for all 4WD situations. The .5 inches difference is not worth replacing driveshafts all the time.
