New guy, I'm sure you have a bunch of moly lying around with a TIG welder. Before you flex all of your internet muscles, do you have any photos of previous fabrication? Not that we need proof...just a form of understanding. You see, I build race cars for a living. The thing is, I could sit here all day long and brag about my 400+whp Talon (on pump gas). However, if I were to incounter someone who called me on it, I have plenty of evidance to justify my claim. This is also known as "weeding out the bull-sh*t'ers."
While I agree with you on cutting him slack (way more i believe), I disagree that he has to show any "proof"...his OP was just looking for some info more specifically, whether anyone swapped axles or if they're interchangeable...

As far as proclaiming ..."tig welder with a bunch of 4130 chromoly laying around ready to make mounts and lower control arms for some deavers and FOA long travel shocks with 1" uniballs and 3/4" heims joints all around"...He wasnt saying he built an all around new suspension and chassis for out trucks...maybe its his first project...maybe its his 10th...we dont know, maybe his camera is broken or maybe he doesnt have a usb cable...
Is he gonna post here again? Im hoping he does post in this forum again because, he does bring an idea to the table and is willing to take something on.

All Im saying is Im going to have to side with the information seeker on this
=D...Good luck on your project bro.

Oh no, I think I might have came off the wrong way. I agree that I want him to continue to post here. I wasn't saying that he had to "prove" himself...just suggesting that he could back himself up a little against Frenchy.

Yes, I definately would want him to post again, and offer insight to suspension application and configuration.

Well if I can scrounge up pics of the s10 I just sold I'll put them up. Triangulated 6 link bodydropped on 22 all done in my garage with a 110 welder at the time. I usually don't stop to take pics of things unless ppl want to see progress cause most ppl online can give a **** about things I build. But in my 2006 Dakotas case, you WILL see pictures. That way you can determine how to "weed out the bull****ters"

i saw a couple interesting things on this thread, first of all i saw frenchy being a dick to a guy who asked a simple question. then i wondered why someone would want to make a "pre-runner" dakota. and then i saw someone say a 400 horsepower talon was a racecar.

no no. I'm not going to "prerun" a Dakota. That term is disgustingly overused here in vegas. I'm simply going to make a longer travel suspension that will provide a little bit of lift. I'm building it to go fast on dirt, ride better than our junk stock shocks, look good because the new Dakotas would with a lift, and best of all, I'm going to jump my ****. And I want to design something that other dak owners can make to scare off those "bro" rangers for less than 3k

You have witnessed quite a bit...and yes...my talon is my race car. I race it at the track. It see's a VERY small amount of street time (mainly to the dyno and back, there is no point in trailering it....1.7 miles away from my house).
