Default Rear Sway Bar

The TRX-4 does not come with the factory sway bar. It is a “delete” item on the window sticker. 05~07 suspensions where one inch higher from the factory with the TRX-4 package. I want to add the sway bar but the dealers parts department price for the total parts kit is close to $400 and that’s insane. It might not even fit because of the on inch lift. Anyone know of a 3rd. party who might have one? I’ve been all over the web and no one has made one for a GEN III. I can get them first & second gen.

just a thought, you may need to get one for a chevy or ford and have it modified to fit. basically a sway bar ia a sway bar. they just make them for different rearend housings, and leaf springs. might have to do some measuring and check to see who is closet

I raised my truck approx 2" in the rear and the factory anti-roll bar still fits. So the 1" from the TRX is not even a concern as I see it.

Later on I did make up lift blocks and raised my anti-roll bar 1". This was done for 2 reasons.

1. So my Mag-Hytec cover would clear
2. So the geometry would return back to stock (stock TRX that is- 1" higher than I was stock)

Find a scrap yard and get a used one. Should be maybe $150 total

Thanks all. Since the factory bar works on raised trucks I'll check salvage yards for one.

I have lifted 4 vehicles so far a few jeeps and a few dakotas, the sway bars for one inch will not be a problem. I used the same sway bar links on a 3 inch lift for one vehicle and they were stock so you will have lots of room for the stock sway bar and links.

So, what components actually raise the TRX4 1" from the other dakotas? I know the struts for the TRX4s are a little stiffer, but that will not raise ride height. Leafs? Springs in the front?
