Question Y-Pipe

I have seen several people state that you open the Y-Pipe it is a great way to mod the engine. But HOW do I do this? Or are they referring to buying a new one?

I have heard both sides, its good and its bad, without seeing numbers I couldnt tell ya. But the best way is to buy one or have a shop make one....
