NGK iridium part # for the HO motor
hey guys I just installed my iridiums in my 07 HO and all i can say is wow dodge should of used these from the factory.
There is a part # difference between HO and non even though ngk's site says they are the same. I called them direct because the HO uses a heat range colder plug then the regular 4.7L.
the correct HO part number is BKR7EIX-11 and the stock number on them is 6988.
hope this info helps

I'm not expecting any improvements in mileage due to living in Canada and it's the middle of winter, but as soon as it gets above zero and the truck doesn't have to idle for an hour a day I'll be sure to update. The truck does idle smoother and it seems to have more get up and go but that may be that "in the head" feeling so idk lol
I put in the new NGK Iridiums and was quite disapointed. They didn't live up to what I had been hearing. Then I read this, go run and grab my box and find what I thought I would. It is the wrong P/N. now I need to go try and convince them on a trade in/return.
yep and with the over sensitive knock sensors in dodge vehicles I guarantee it's pinging due to the hotter plug.

did you reset the pcm to clear all the adaptive memories?
I bought the NGK's a few weeks back but have yet to install them. So not being a mechanic by any means... What is the pcm? Will I have to mess with that procedure after I install my NGK's???
