I've been wondering what it would do to drop the can on mine and leave both resonators on, rather than dropping the resonators and leaving the muffler. I'm thinking it'll be pretty loud. Has anyone done this before?
Great clip! Please tell me what you did exactly. I have an 06' QC too. I have 17" Black Dale Junior cannon wheels with 265 Nitto Tera Grapplers on the way. Please tell me what the difference is b/w what I just looked at, a magnaflow Stainless Cat-Back System with dual split rear exit for $550 vs what you did. I grew-up in an auto dealership and do everything I can myself but, I know nothing about after market exhaust systems.
All you did is remove the muffler?? What is a resonator?? I don't have a welder either but, considering the cost difference vs results, I would most like to replicate your actions. Can one get around welding at all? And, why would someone put out $550 for the magnaflow system vs what you did? Just knowledge?? And, what do you mean by not leaving the resonators in, at first.
Thanks much,
Lance

I left the rear resonator on at first, to try and cut down on the drone from the exhaust... But it still did it, so I put the front resonator back on...
Magnaflow and others, spend a lot of time and money testing their systems for maximum gains...
