Something about my truck
Glad its all fixed man, nah we dont hate ya. Everyone is entitled to an opinion and if I was in your shoes, even though I am a loyal Chrysler Fan, I would have bietched and moaned too. Sounds like you had hell to pay with that baby... and Good dealerships are hard to come by, I have found 2 so far that have treated me well. The one where I bought the truck and the one I moved near to, they are very helpful and they will do what they need to do in order to make me happy. Only problem so far was a headlight that had fogged over... but that was an easy fix.
Incorrect gear ratios? I don't understand that. Was the computer programmed thinking it had a different transmission than it did? (42RE vs 545RFE?)
It also looks like alot of your problems were probably related...02 sensor, misfiring, carbon buildup, knock sensors...a perfect sh*tstorm for terrible performance.
I am very wary of dealers, and mechanics in general. As a mechanical engineer and a gearhead, I like to think I know a thing or two about my vehicles. It's so frustrating to argue with a shop that you know is wrong.
Anyway, good luck...I'm sure you'll like the truck alot more when it actually works. FWIW, my Dakota is at 33,000 miles with zero problems (knock on wood), factory brakes, shocks, everything. Must've been a good day at Chrysler when mine was built.

To some of the posts, I have already contacted Chrysler and believe me, i'm not the 1st person to put in a complaint about these guys. They told me that they will be getting one of there managers to go there and see what is going on. They won't be telling the dealership about this. So it's pretty much a Mystery Shopper. They said, if the problem isn't fixed, that dealership will getting shut down, or they will shut it down temp while looking for replacements. As they are tired of getting calls about this dealership.
Since I had o2 sensors, misfiring and whatnot, it was performing very horrible. Now it performs how it should be.
For my gears being inaccurate, I don't quite remember what the guy said what had happened there. But I did, need to get my ECU reprogrammed, so i'm guessing that might have been the problem there.
But ever since getting my truck back, it has been serving me very well. Alot better when 1st got it. I seriously thought it was a brand new truck after they were done fixing.
