Default trans fluid leak under front of engine?

So I was putting the tow hooks on and I noticed I have a small leak on a rubber hose between connecters one of which is leaking, up under the front of the engine, it looks to be trans fluid, red in color re: the trans fluid right.
it's easy to see once your under the truck. dosen't look to serious but I'll keep an eye on it.

I'm getting my cracked fog-light housings replaced when they come in. so at the same time i'll have them look at it.

Yeah Red is usually Trans fluid, to my knowledge.

BTW how did your fog housings get cracked... mine are the same way... can't tell if its from rocks, or just over torquing on the lens...

I think Rich and Eric thought it was from heat. Dealerships thought they were from Rocks, but they fixed em under warranty I believe. Correct me if I am wrong guys...

Biker red is almost always trans fluid, I can't think of any other fluids we use that would be red.

I got a set warrantied for that, the dealership looked at them and concluded it was heat cracking as I did. The kicker was there was no chipping or point of impact to be seen, just cracks that started out of nowhere. At least one of mine is cracked again but I'm out of warranty now so I'd get them done but don't expect them to last forever.

Ya I have the same out of know where no impact on outside of lenses cracks
(Warrenty covered) I also think heat is the reason or mabye sudden temp changes - hot bulb verse cold weather (same as a windshield) small crack started and as heat is blowing warms it up and the crack speads
I've watched a crack start on one side of the windshield and as the truck warms up the crack spread all to the other side. just my 2cents

I had to fight with Chrysler DSM to get my fog lights replaced. They too were heat cracks, but they insistit was rocks. I finnally got them to pay afetr a six week fight.
