big problems
yeah i dont really need a loaner car bc i have my thunderturd so thats no big deal.. but this is got me so heated right now.. i hope it just gets fixed and no one says a word that its not underwarranty..
Damn that sucks! Sounds like a fluke. Sometimes parts just fail. 1 bad rivet or nicked link or non-metallic inclusion in the steel is all it might take. Did it result in any valve-piston contact?
Damn man, Sorry to hear. With the code I was hoping for you it was just a computer hicup. It does "fit" though. 20K is not alot either. I'm just coming up to that. You don't have a SC tuner do you? Thinking it would have to be set back to factory so they don't reflash it and mess that up also.
It happens. Probablly some sort of tensioner issue. How does our truck tensioner apply pressure? I am unfamiliar with it. But I have heard of alot of timing chains breaking early. it doesn't seem that out of the ordinary.
According to Gates the 4.7 is not an interference engine so he should be fine.
Wow! At twenty thousand miles?!?!
Sorry to hear but,it could be worse we could have zero tolerance engines and we all know the out come of that......
Also I hope you didn't pay for the tow,if you did you should be able to get refunded by Daimler Chrysler I believe the basic warranty is 36K so anything that happens "under warranty" will be covered by them,I think you might only have to pay $100 deductible or even better if you were towed by a Dodge dealership that tow money could go towards that deductible........
All of this that IM speaking about is in your Road side assistance booklet that little pice of chit is helpfull.
I had a similar experience, and only paid $100 and had to wait a couple of days for the work to be done,it maybe an inconvenience but not bad in my book.
