If I remove the last resonator and replace with standard pipe, what kind of sound would I get? 3.7 v6.. I'm happy with the v6, and I got it for a heckuva price out in the middle of nowhere from a dealer in north central Illinois..
I have a 4.7 and removed the back resonator. Very dissapointed. No sound difference and no performance upgrade. I might as well have flushed the money down the toilet.

If you left the muffler on you will not notice much of a difference if at all, have you seen that thing?
This is my stock muffler and one of the resonators:
I have an '08 with the 4.7 and I removed the smaller fwd. "can" and had a straight pipe welded in place of it. I noticed an improvement in exhaust tone and maybe save a few drops of gas. I like it and do not no why a manufacturer should have to place so much stuff on an exahust system. BTW, the stock pipes are large diameter tubing and the stock muffler is stainless steel. I can live with it for now.
A few guys on here have removed the muffler and one resonator and gotten a nice tone, I know Eric's done it but I can't remember if he left one resonator or took both out and went straight pipe.
Idk about the V6 but i know with my flowmaster set up i removed the last res. up by the cats and love the bit more rumble in the cab and the tone outside also improved...easy job for a cheap.
