yeah it tends to help with the ladies ;P lol it cost under like $250.00 for sub box wiring and amp then about and hr and a half to get it all nice nice. looking at the truck there is no way you can see there is a sub at all. go for the K&N intake makes the truck sound nice and helps with mpg and power.

That sub between the rear seats superdak was talking about is a JL Audio stealthbox, they make very good stuff, it's only for the club cabs though. Is yours a club or a quad cab?

What are those two lights that are under your hood that are see-able from the grill? I love those. I want some. But what are they called and what's the point of them? They're nice!

Also, I want a K&N air intake, but would that void my warranty if anything happened under the hood?
Don't think there's an official name for them, I usually just refer to them as grill lights. Frenchy did a great DIY write-up for installing some which you can find in the 3rd gen Dakota FAQ subsection (just look at the top of this section). Here's a link to the actual thread: https://dodgeforum.com/forum/3rd-gen...og-lights.html

The only way they could use the K&N as an excuse to not honor the warranty is if they could prove the damage was directly caused as a result of the K&N under the Magnusson-Moss Warranty act. I wouldn't worry about the K&N causing any problems.

lmao umm I'm a girl so I don't care about the "ladies" hahaha.

yeahh I definitely want the K&N I just don't want any BS if something ever happened.

I have 26k miles right now and my warranty is good for 6 years/ 100,000 so I have about 74k left but the years will probably beat me cuz right now it'll be 2 and a half years in june. But i don't need any lame excuses haha.

Thanks. I'll check the write up out. Are they illegal?? and what exactly are they for?? I don't wanna blind anymore I already get flashed for just having my regular lights on and then I end up flashing them back cuz It pisses me off lol.

and thanks for the K&N info. Good thing they got warranty acts out for stuff or else people would pull crap outta no where. but yeah, thanks guys!

Not to be mean, or anything, but do you know ANYTHING about vehicles?

Or do you just drive them, and want whatever other people have?

Those lights, are fog lights, I have factory fog lights as well, so a little extra light doesn't hurt...

PLUS, it looks mean as hell...

As for the intake causing warranty issues, NO.

Unless you hydrolock your engine, from sucking up too much water via the intake, I don't see how it could cause a warranty problem...

As for the sub and amp, get yourself a 10" sub, get a truck box, with dimensions of 13" wide, 13" high, 5" at the base, and like 4" at the top (all rought dimensions)... then, get a torx 47 socket and remove the two bolts holding the top of the seat on, then lift the seat up, and put the sub in between the brackets... mount the amp under seat, or behind the other seat... and you're done...

I know A LOT about vehicles because of my boyfriend and his dad is a mechanic. I've wanted to do my truck up since I've had it, but it's hard too because I don't have a job right now. I love trucks and everything I can do to them. If I wanted to do what other people did, then I don't think I'd get a spoiler because I haven't even EVER seen an 07 Dakota with a spoiler. If I like something, of course I'm going to want it. I don't know how my posts say that I don't know anything. I could easily pick a spot for a system that I want but I wanted to see other ways that people set them up so I don't lose seats. I also wanted to make sure the K&N wasn't going to affect my warranty because I had no idea if it would seeing as how I've already had my warranty void on my gas cap. They have there way around everything. But yea for being 19 and a girl I know more about vehicles than any other girl around here. I know you aren't trying to be rude and I'm not either but I don't know where any of this is coming from. I have a lot of questions nothing wrong with that. These boards are meant for questions.

or even go to walmart and buy the sony xplode 10'' shallow mount truck box. its was like 145 i bought it on sale. and it will be a little too wide to fit so i sawzalld(sp) about an inch and a half slot down the edge and wood by the endnd wood glued it together and it sounds good as new and plays tighter. just move the rc cables. and you should take the top grille off so it presses less on the seat.0315091441a.jpg

Thanks for the help. We have a system store around here, they did my sisters truck and it turned out really nice. She has an 08 Chevrolet Colorado extended cab and didn't care if she lost her back seat, but with me, I don't want to lol.

The light's behind my grill are my driving lights, http://www.arb.com.au/products/ipf-l...s/100range.php
IPF with the 100W bulbs that come extra with the kit.
I love having those lights, really lights up the road at night helps spot the wild life that's always on the road up here. more pics here http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3195839/2
