Default Lagging Engine and Slow Idle

I bought a 2005 V8 Dakota back in August. It now has 42,000 miles on it. A few days ago it started having the following issue: When decelerating approaching a light, once I get a near complete stop the engine will dip to about 200 rpms. While stopped it usually idles around 700 rpm but will dip to around 200 every so often and has even stalled a few times. When I accelerate from the light, occasionally the engine will lag a little and then lurch into normal operation.

I've read the threads about the TPS issues. Does this seem like it is related?

yes it does, 106.00 bucks to replace. simple, two screws hold it onto the throttle body and a small wiring harness.

let everyone tell you its the TPS but for free you can check your trans fluid. mine was real picky after i put the shift kit in. i didnt have it right between the two marks and it would bog down at lights and die sometimes. now its just fine. with a 5 dollar quart of atf4
