Big Time Power
Everyone is here seems to wanna do the basics to boost some power out of these trucks but has anyone or heard of anyone throwing a supercharger or turbo system in there rig? I have been doing a lot of research on it and looking into it more and more on the supercharger end. Lets here what ya think or have heard or done.
http://www.krcperformance.com/ had a superhcharger kit, but I think its been discontinued.
There is also a universal turbo back kit, I forget the info on it though, If you search you may find it.
Also AirRam has been building 4.7 but nothings completed yet other than some internals if I remember right as he is still deployed.

theres a guy on my other site that has an 05 4.7 supercharged, he's only pushing 301 at the wheels for $6500.00, i on the other hand, is at 296 at the wheels with a few bolt ons and a 125 shot of nitrous for 1/2 the cost

the main difference is the supercharger doesnt supply as much of a "shock" to the engine as nitrous. Not saying that N2o isnt a great way to make power... just saying that "most" engines that run nitrous eventually need a rebuild.
The cost of a supercharger is what keeps most guys from running them.
If we werent looking at houses, I would still be looking for forced induction. The main hold back is a reliable flash for fuel (or a stand alone FMU)

well if your familiar with fords. their the guys that built our 4.7's
air ram has adapters to mount up the cobra's manifold and blower. all WE have to do is find a computer tune that works and figure out our belt alignment as they have not ran into that part yet.
so if you want boost. get their adapter plates and go to town
or if your handy with a 6 gun.....i mean mig gun.... get some 3" piping and a turbo and weld up some exhaust manifolds and find a dyno.
good thing about turbos. is they can pretty much be operated anywhere. so no need to fabricate stuff to mount to the engine. just run the piping and tune away.

I have a guy to tune it. The Company is called FullthrottleKustomz. They tuned my 07 Mustang Gt after i had supercharged it. Its pussing 550Hp and 500Lbs of tourque at the rear wheels with 9 pounds of boost. Nitrous is a great way to gain power but and easy way to blow the motor up or yet the tranny (not saying a supercharger wouldnt). Dodge doesn't have the best trannys. I want to take mine to the next level but then your looking at a tranny with built rear ends. I just dont know what the 4.7 can take before your looking a tons of internal motor work. Also tranny build ups are not fun either.
Also building your own set up would suck so who makes a kit? I went a looked a that one kit lightningbolt suggested and it was discontinued.
