I almost went with STS, I forwarded this to mikesett about two months ago or so.

"Sir,

Thank you for your interest in Squires Turbo Systems. For your 4.7L, our Universal Kit applications experience the same amazing benefits and horsepower improvement results as our bolt-on systems.

The installation of our turbo systems is similar to the installation of a cat-back exhaust system. The turbo system components hang where the factory exhaust system normally hangs, and even utilizes the same factory mounting points. The Universal Kit supplies you with all needed turbo components, and then you simply fabricate the tubing that runs to and from the turbo components.

The graphic below shows one of our bolt-on Corvette Twin Turbo systems and illustrates how it is located in the rear of the car where the factory exhaust once hung. It also points out many of the benefits and advantages of our patented remote-mount turbo systems, all of which still apply to our Universal Kit installations.

For more detailed information about the STS Universal Kit, please feel free to call me any time.

Thanks,

Vernon Hills

A Chinese turbo good to 20,000 miles? The boost controller "Really Works?"

If this was going into a beater Neon or something, why not. In a truck with a perfectly good 4.7? I think you'll be starting an engine swap thread soon...

I'm not putting that into my truck, I'm just getting opinions and trying to gain some knowledge about turbo/super-chargers.

t 3 turbo is very small, on the grand national we use to run the t 12 and up, depending on the applications

Just my personal opinion, but the only turbo I would go with would be the Squires rear mounted turbo. Here is an STS Turbo on a 5.9 Dakota.

I live in Portsmouth, VA. At the moment I'm in FT Lauderdale, FL. I will probably run the local Norfolk track sometime this May and Mopar Madness in Petersburg this June.

Your e-town Track is 350 miles away.

Me and the boys doing dry runs, I'm thinking mid 12s. I'm down to run anytime
