17" dodge ram 1500 wheels and tires 265/70/17

Default 17" dodge ram 1500 wheels and tires 265/70/17
Hey guys,

I have the chance to buy these wheels and tires from a friend of mine. My question is if they will fit my truck. I am pretty sure we have the same lug pattern as the 1500s don't we?

That makes your tire size 31.6". I know some guys on here run 31's with no problem but with MTs you will probably have to do some trimming.

Ok cool, thanks I am going to have the Rough Country lift installed soon so that will give me some extra clearance. I might try to run the BFGoodrich MT 255/75/17 which if I'm not mistaken is a 32.1. I will post pics as soon as I get everything settled.

I have the 255/75/17 BG Goodrich MTs on my truck...kinda. Waiting on the custom lug nuts before I slap them on, but, I bolted one on and it LOOKED fine...I didn't turn the wheel or anything.

32 inch is about as tall as I would go. with a lift you should be alright.

Ok thanks guys. Is the lug pattern for the ram and the dakota the same? 5x5.5?

yeah, they are... I snagged a set of chrome 5 spoke 20's... now I just need tires.

I am thinking 265/45/20s

those are 275/65/20... WAY too big... lol

265/50/20 is almost exactly the same hight/width as the 265/70/16's that came on my 05 lamarie!

yeah, the 265/45/20 is a 29 inch tire, just like whats on my truck right now. (give or take .25 inches+/-)
