x3, I get a shudder that is annoying, but never had the bad bounce, even with my original shocks that were shot at 18K. I actually like the way mine rides, more carlike than truck.

But I am curious if the Rancho's would eliminate the shutter/stutter that happens after a bump.

Seem the sight that is linked here for the ranchos has these things backordered as do most other sites. Why is that? How long did you wait. Are the hard to put on? Also, are other brands a big improvement as well like Monroe.

My stockers ride pretty nice on the road when you hit small bumps or when you first hit a bigger bump but there seems to be minimal rebound dampening. Seems like it like driving a boat after hitting the bump. Is that what you guys experience?

Do you need to replace the top of the stru too? I think it's called a strut plate.

Inspect your plate for rust, damage, bushing wear or play. If it looks fine, it probably is. However, they are cheap enough if you just want to do that too. Complete lack of rebound control is the main problem with the stockers. There must have been a better run of shocks that the non-complainers got, because if you had mine, there was no doubt they were a huge problem. And yes, the Rancho's do help a lot with the shutter, but do not completely eliminate it...it is still a truck with leafs.
