Default Part Number and Cost

I too have a 2008 Sport v8. I was wondering where you ordered the shocks, the part number and cost?

I used the Monroe # 71100 frts and KYB # KG54321 rr. And from what I have discovered, The Monroe 71100 and the Rancho Rs 5757 frt are the same. My ride is more stable and less spongy than before, and rebound is right on the money. I decided to use the KYB's in the rears even though my rears was replaced under warrenty on 5/01/2009.They order'd the frts but was taking too long, so I order the monroe's from Pep Boys and they came in (1) Day! I plan to send the bill to Mitsubishi for doing their job for them.

Thank for the greeting, Well I did a google seach to confirm my thoughts about the 2 struts, And a few 4x4 sites made that statement of the RSX And the Reflex/Sensa-Trac Being 1 in the same, And the 9000 vs the Gas Magnum. Then I checked the build and the materials used and made my conclusion. Plus we all know Tenneco Is Monroe/Rancho. And it's alittle funny that There are the only Two companys that make an application for the Dakota.............Hmmm.........

So what is the damage on average for getting the shocks including installation? I would like a ballpark so I know what my next investment needs to be!

The 71100 struts was $92 bucks each from pep boys, And the KYB's KG54321 was $54 each. Rears was easy to install, But frts will need a shop. With alignment and my Daystar kit my shop charged me $240 out the door, Daystar kit not included.

Default Just To Be Sure

Prior to ordering "dryice" - I have just one more question. Is your Dakota a 2008?

Angry Rancho 2n a 2008 Dakota

Has anyone actually install the Rancho RS5757 (front) & RS5315 (rear) on a 2008 (or 2007)? Shockwarehouse Rep told me that they would not fit on the 2008.
