Default Painting Anodized Aluminum headache rack??

I'm looking at getting a headache rack, its made of HI GRADE ANODIZED ALUMINUM MATERIAL

My question is can I sandblast it and then powder coat it black?
or will the paint stick and last of is this not an option

I've talk to many people on this and get a different story every time, thought I'd ask the guys on here.

I would talk to someplace that does powder coating. I imagine someone's tried it before.

Since anodizing is just a metallic coating, I would think you could sandblast it off, then roughen the rack by sanding it down some, and since powdercoat is basically an extremely tough plastic coating it should be able to cover the roughened rack...
