I am going with a 2.25'' Y-pipe with High-flow cats, 2.5'' Cat back with Flowmaster 50 series w/ delta flow, and will be exiting right before bed starts

There are others here that will tell you this. It's loud, and sounds good for a while (I've had it over a year). Actually sounds pretty good sometimes.

But the drone is annoying, its a little ricey, and the truck loses some low end.
I don't have experience with the 40, but your last statement is close to the 50. I like the drone, so it doesn't bother me. It does lose low end without that extra back pressure on it. And, it really doesn't sound that ricey. Mine sounds somewhere between the factory V6 sound that Chevy Berettas and Z-24s used to have AND a true V8 sound. The only way to get a good V8 sound from a 3.7 is to do an engine swap, so I opted for the best sound I could get...I'd still love to have that low end torque coming off a dead stop though, I miss that.
