Very nice, sharp looking truck too. Do you worry at all about sucking in water when it's raining with that intake location?

Maybe down the road that intake could be piped upwards, wonder if just hitting a puddle would damage a hot turbo? Theres always ways to work around the little probs though. Good luck, and nice truck.

The STS guys laugh at the puddle question, they say it would take MUCH more than a puddle to crack the turbo. It would take like a red hot turbo being completely submersed in arctic water for it to crack (according to them).

The filter also comes with a cover that is water repellent, which I now have on it.

Thanks man, appreciate the info. The filter was what I was worried about, let us know if you do end up driving her through a monsoon.

I've driven it in some rain, not a HUGE rain but it wasnt just sprinkles, and it did just fine.
Thats not saying I'd want to drive for hours in the rain, but for the short time I did drive in it, nothing happened

A little water won't hurt...it will just steam clean your combustion chambers Avoid flooding.

Truck looks great....turbo is way cool, and it looks like a pretty staight forward install.

Adam is working out some oil pump issues with STS and KRC right now. I'm hoping all the test and dynos go well and hopefully we weill see a KRC 4.7L Dakota kit soon.
