Default New Exhaust System '08 Dakota

So I really don't care for it when people ask me, "Is that a V6?" or when they say, "So why didn't you get a 4x4?" Well it's a V8 and it's only 2WD until I flip the switch! So I have decided to have a local muffler shop do an entire custom cat back exhaust system for me. It's a single in, dual out and it will have a performance muffler with 2 3"x18" chrome rolled tips coming out each side just behind the rear tire. It's going to be installed tomorrow. I'm excited, although anyone else I talk to asks me why I'm doing this, or if there is something wrong with the factory one. Sheesh, some people just don't understand. Well not sure how it's going to sound, but the guy said I will be very happy he thinks.

I will post with what I think of everything tomorrow night after work. YAY

As far as the 4x4 issue, well I am upgrading before winter to a Yokohama Geolander AT-S 265 75 16 tire. That should help a little, I don't know if anyone else sees it, but those GoodYear Wranglers that came on it are not that great IMO.

Why does everyone rely on Geolanders?

At 400 bucks for tires my truck (winter tires), I have better gripping AT's than my buddy with the Geolanders...

Here are some pics I took a few hours after I got home, went cruising around for a bit too. Sounds great, not too loud. He left the first resonator on, since he knew I wasn't going for loud, but the guy told me if I wasn't happy with the sound, he would remove the resonator free of charge. I'm happy so far, has a nice growl and not too loud even if I get on it. We will see if I want louder in the next couple of days.

Looks good. Why is a ground cable connected to the exhaust. The dipsh!t that installed my muffler torched it off and left it hanging.

I've been told that the Geolanders are made for a heavier truck and that the dakota is on the light side making the ride ruffer do to the tires being a harder compound,

not sure if it's true but just what I was told by one tire shop. I personally think they would be a good long lasting tire.

Nice looking! Now we need a sound clip Not sure what loudness you are looking for, but my truck was stock with one res and I end up taking it off and just running straight from the y back with a cherry bomb in the middle, of course I stayed with the SI - SO look
