I bought my son a late model 2008 dodge dakota. He would like to put a lift kit on it. So far he has had no luck and is frustrated. Does anyone have any comments or suggestions?

not sure about an 08 lift, better off posting in the 3rd gen section. have your son join the site, this way he can do all the research he wants, and knows the right parts to get to mod his 08. hell im pretty sure the 3rd gen guys wouldnt mind abusing.. helping him. haha j/k. good luck

 

the only thing they make for that is leveling kit and a body lift kit

Your choices are:

1) Front leveling kit, don't go over 2.5" if your 4x4 and rear blocks/helper springs.
2) 3" body lift coupled with #1 will get you maybe 5" - 6" total lift.
3) Jack my ride suspension system (use the search function for more info)
4) Totally custom SAS.

Unfortunately there is hardly any aftermarket support for the Dakota. Don't feel bad, a lot of prople dont realize this until after they purchase one.
