Default Need help installing new deck (head unit)!

Ok so I bought a new c.d. player/head unit/car deck whatever. I have wired almost all of it, but now I have figured out that the wiring harness I bought does not work. I bought this harness (below) and I have tried connecting it all. Obviously its not working so whats the secret to getting around this???

that harness should plug into the plug that came out of the back of the stock deck, and then the wires on it will tie into the new decks wires.
Unless they gave you the wrong harness?!

It sort of is the wrong harness. The reason it is not working is because there is no switched accessory power in the factory wiring. You will have to run the red wire from the deck to a switched source, like the cig lighter power wire.

If you dont want to do that, you can buy the correct harness. Visit crutchfield and look up your truck, it will explain. Unfortunatly the correct harness is about $70.

would this explain why i blew the radio fuse? I noticed that there are two ground wires (black) and two constant 12v wires(yellow) on my harness (pioneer). From the radio, I have one 12v constant(yellow) and one ground (black). should i splice all three grounds(blacks) together and then all three 12v(yellow) together? or use just one ground, one power. Im leaning to just one but just wanted to clarify. And then what was that abot the red wire being spliced to the cigarette lighter? What is that red wire labelled in the harness?
