Make sure whatever you buy, you use the UV as your outer most filter, saves scratching the other, more expensive filters...

Completely agree. I have a UV filter on just for that purpose alone. One of the lenses I have is darn near the price of the camera!

My camera, from day one has had at LEAST a UV filter on it...

My lens has never been touched by a cleaning towel yet, and I plan to keep it that way...
