Default Got stuck last night

Well, got stuck last night in a bunch of loose sand trying to get big with the Dakota. My buddy pulled me out and since my dad decided to take off the towing package, we hooked his rope to the metal under the front bumper. It looked like it sheilds the radiator? Anyone know what im talking about? Well, when he pulled, it bent that piece a little bit. Doesn't look too serious and you can't see it unless you are under the truck. Is it something I should be worried about? Also, do our front bumpers have huge gaps from the truck? haha I have never noticed.

As you can probally tell, I get paranoid when I take my baby out and she gets stuck

I have the tow package and I was glad the tow hooks where part of the package. I would had ordered them if they didn't come with them just for that reason of a pull out. That guard looking bar across the radiator is part of the welded body structure skeleton. It’s not part of the ladder frame. If it’s bent but you don’t notice and body seam changes then I’m sure you’ll be fine.

If you are gonna play in the sand, put the tow hooks back on, you'll need 'em again... Or just get you one of these...

Then you won't need the buddy to pull you out...

You're gonna wake up to the sound of hammer blasting your truck with a 12-gauge...

Now 'bolt, you know damn well I USE my truck! I admit, I'm a lot more careful with it than I have been with my previous trucks because I've put a lot into exterior mods than I had before, but I still use this truck to hunt, fish and for work around the farm.

Used the winch just the other day, had an oak overhanging my mothers house and pulled it the opposite way to cut it down in preparation of hurricane season.

I was in no way picking on your teeny trucks (for once) but just posted to say how useful a winch is, and unlike five years ago when I bought my Warn Winch, you now have companies like Smittybuilt and Mile Marker offering 8k lb. winches in the $300 range, they are one of the best investments you can make if you work or play hard with your truck...
