Default Exhaust idea

I was thinking of redoing my exhaust and have it exit before the rear tire. Maybe with some dual tips. I have a 08 Dakota with 4.7 engine. Is this feasible or to tight of an area underneath the truck to do this? Also will I lose any performance with this setup? Currently have a magnaflow in place of stock muffler. Also worried about the pipes hangin to low and in sight...would like just the tips showing and not much exhaust tubing. Want something differant rather than duals out the back or stock exit. What do you think?

Like this? (old picture but it shows the exhaust well)

I'm running a Cherry Bomb Vortex and it sounds great. My local shop didn't have much trouble putting it on, he was a bit worried it would be tight at first but after he said it was a lot easier than he thought. I wouldn't worry about losing power either, just don't believe ebay sellers when they tell you the tips are stainless steel, mine were supposedly stainless Hooker Headers tips and I had to paint them after giving up on keeping the rust away.

Sure thing.

This is the angle you can see the piping at the most, from the height anyone will be looking at the truck all you see is a bit of the tips.

Since I painted the tip I actually had them angle it back a little and pull it in a bit more when I had it put back on. I don't have any good pictures of that though and the paint didn't last so they're rusty again (600 degree black BBQ paint does not hold up as well as you might think). I'm either going to have the tips powdercoated or get different ones, I really like the style of the ones I have though so most likely I'll get some high heat powdercoat put on.

Here's a few recent pics, you can see the tips if you look close:

Used to have that setup on my Ram with the Gibson super truck cat back. The reason I went that route is I was able to back down into ditches to load heavy stuff into the bed, and I could launch my boat without submerging the exhaust. Thinking real hard about going this route on the Dakota.
