Default 3.7 180 temp stat and flex-a-lite

What 180 stat do you guys recomend for the 3.7L

Also what parts do i need to run the flex-a-lite fan correctly and safely.

Does it make a big diffrance? Do you gain alot of WHP? Do I need one to run the other? If not which one do you recommend will give me the most WHP/WTQ??

What do i need to run the fan. How does it make power because the car comes with a fan. Does it replace it for a bigger more power full one. Also where can I find a temp stat for the 3.7L and what do I need for the fan

Would I need a new belt since the clutch fan is gone. Or the fan is gone so it doesnt rob power because it is gone. If you can give me a link with aprts I need that would be great.

you will use the same belt. it just won't turn the fan as you will remove this from the engine, I would go with the " black magic fan and kit..." like eric suggests, as I hear its a good unit for this appication.(though you don't have to) you will need some skills as to removing the stock fan and cover and then installing the new one. you will have to build brackets or fashion somthing to hold the new fan in place. as the truck does not already have anything in place for doing this.

search the forum as there is quite a bit of information on installing this as well as I believe pics of a couple are kicking around here somewhere.

Sorry can't help you with the 180therm as I don't know that area.

Hope this helps a bit.

I installed the Flex-A-Lite 180 Extreme in my Ram, perfect fit in the stock shroud. Don't know about the size difference in your Daks though.

Third year with it now, in the Florida and South Ga. heat, no issues so far.
