E3 spark plugs anyone?
After reading about the Autolite 3923 plugs and the NGK's I'm wondering if anyone has tried the E3 spark plugs in their truck? I'm thinkin' of giving them a go. I'm runnin' the 4.7 HO which should use the E3.64 plugs.

It's funny that you write that we should be using the E3.56. When I looked at the usual online sites that's what was recommended but when I went to the E3 site it recommended the E3.64 (http://www.showmetheparts.com/e3sparkplug/) for the J code VIN and E3.48 for the N and P VIN codes.
I've written E3 just to make sure and I'll attach any information I get.

You bet man. That is your best bet, I emailed NGK before purchasing my colder range plugs for the blower. I still have my E3s I pulled out of my truck a couple of months back and they are E3.56. Still running the exact plug is the wife's Durango and it works great. Good luck.
Well here's the word from E3:
"...The E3.64 is the correct plug for your 2007 Dodge Dakota 4.7L HO “J” engine. The E3.56 is the same size plug but is a hotter heat range for some of the other 4.7L engines that Dodge produced that year."
So it looks like the E3.64 is what we're lookin' for... I'll let y'all know how they work (I threw in the "y'all" for the southern members of the forum).

I dont like the ones for the small engines I cant get my trimmer or any of my chainsaws to run right with them. Ive also gotten other power equipment in for repair that all I did was swap in a champion or ngk

I threw in the E3.64 plugs without too much hassle and did some city and highway driving. The new plugs do make the engine feel a little smoother over the stockers but nothing earth shattering (mind you what do you want from plugs?).
In short it just feels like you're throwing in a quality plug. Nothin' to write home about. As a side note the E3 looks a little longer than the stock plug but it doesn't cause any issues.
