3,000 mi. fluids?
i have almost got 3,000 mi on my pickup now, i was thinking of going to synthetic fluids, but is it still to early on the break in to switch? and if your running syn. what kind?
i was wanting change all fluids at this point also, but once again, should i put some more miles on it, or should everything be ok?

I do yearly changes on Mobil 1 EP. Every October of the year, winds up being about 12,000 miles a change. I almost have 40,000 miles on the engine. Ive noticed that through an entire year, by the time its ready to change its about half a quart low, so it has 4.5 quarts left, out of the initial 5, over a 12,000 miles period. Thats perfectly normal IMO.
Nothing new to me, we have been doing yearly oil changes on our cars in my family since the early 80s. Had nothing but success thus far.
I just like that I only have to crawl under the truck and my wifes car once a year to change it out. A couple of our past vehicles we have had into the 200k plus range before selling them, so I am sold on the stuff . Especially since I only have to spend $30 bucks a year per car, and 20min a year of my time to change it per car. Can't say enough about M1.
