I'm running Michelin AT2 265/65r17's. Do you have the 3.55 gears with LSD?

I hate the 3.55 too. What's the cost to change them out to 4.10's?

On a 4x4 its alot more because you have to do the front and back. Two sets of gears with install kits you are looking at 600.00 then to have them installed another 400-600, so it won't be cheap.

Ouch! It would be nice to have them though. Did it drop your MPGs?

BTW - Nice truck!

Thanks Pack. I did loose a little on the highway at first. After about a month or so the gears broke in and became smoother. After that, my MPGs were back normal. IHMO next to cams, the 4.10s are the best rwhp power adder.

Is your daily driving mostly city, mostly highway, or an even mix? If it's more towards city I would speculate you could improve MPG by gearing down to 3.92s or 4.10s. I know you can't do much worse than I am right now, all city style stoplight commute to work, 10-11mpg average and it was actually slightly worse before the tuner (I have not tried the 87 tune yet, too addicted to the 91 tune).

It might last to your 3rd gear shift and they you would pull over and reload the 91 I know I did.

The only bad thing about the 91 tune is when it's raining I have to practically tip-toe the gas pedal, otherwise it's insta-spin whether I want it or not since it's snappier on the 91.

It's probably more of an even mix. I was getting 15.8 but my first tank with the tuner I avg. 16.8, not too bad considering a couple or 0-60 runs.

Do you have the 180 t-stat? I do and when I was running the diagnostics log for eng. temp I was running 195 to 200 degrees. Isn't it suppose to be around 180 if you have the 180 degree t-stat?

Yep, it rained here this afternoon which was the first time since I got the tuner and the back end got away from me a bit without me meaning to. I had it on 91 tune. I enjoy the truck more now.
