THe 4.7L takes 6 quarts of oil? The 3.7L takes 5. If I had the V8. That would screw up my whole 5 quart jug at walmart deal.
5 qts still makes it within the ok range on the dipstick. I have ran a full 3k on 5 qts not realizing it until the following oil change I was like wtf 6 qts?... total fail on my part, for some odd reason I thought 5 qts was the answer... needless to say everything is ok and I remember 6 qts! and the funny part is the oil changes before I used 6
I just meant that I love buying the 5 quart jug, and simply pouring it all in in one quick shot. Nice and neat lol. But 6, that would mean cracking open one more quart!
The Synthetic oil stabilizer is an additive by lucas oil. Helps synthetic oils that have extended drain cycles. I ran 9K this change, I will find out from oil analysis in a week or so, how it held up.
Why does my 3.7 take 6 quarts of oil? I just bought the truck and did my first oil change today. Mobile 1 Synthetic and mobile 1 filter. I bought a 5 qt jug but I am still a qt short on the dipstick
