I think mine starts warning me of low fuel around 40-50 miles

Mine came on at 40 miles. Question is how reliable is that number?

I have gone about 10 miles past that number before (so DTE reads 0). not sure how much I agree with it. I found that our low fuel light comes on quite early.

Here is what I know...

My gas light comes on at 45 miles til empty, on the overhead... evertime...

When I fill up, my overhead always reads (396 mi DTE) Then, when it hits 300 the needle is exactly on F... at 225 it's on 3/4... at 150 it's on 1/2... at 75 it's on 1/4... and 0 is E...

Now, however, if you read the owners manual, it states, that when the overhead is at 0 DTE, you have 10% of your gas left...

So, on a 22.1 gallon tank, you have 2 gallons, still...

Basically enough to get you to a gas station...

Mine has never gone higher than 336 DTE. Gas light always comes on right about 30DTE. I actually had it at 0DTE and the needle was on the post. Still only took about 19.5 to fill it.

Yup, that's basically what I said.
