Default Superchips mileage

I've had the Mileage XS program installed for a month and over that time ended up with an average 15.5 mpg. When I was stock I was holding 16. I do have more power, but since this is a mileage tune, I consider this bad results. Just wondering if anyone else got the same results?

I'm going to play around a little more with the other tunes, but the wife really hates that 1-2 shift at 3k rpm which is in all the tunes, so I'm probably going to have to put this thing in the classifieds later on.

hmmmm, I haven't tied the mileage tune out yet, still hooke don the 92 tune, but I would say that's a bad result. Hell the 92 tune has netted me no less than 14 avg, well take that back I dropped to almost 13 today, but its all driver induced and not the trucks fault...

I hear you Jaded,
I have been putting more miles on mine lately and could not justify the extra gas (on any of the tunes) but the breaker was the 3K shifts, drove me nuts. I just sold mine, hopefully they will change it soon, I may try the 3865 when the get the trans firmness option available.

I found that whether it's installed on my Hemi truck or 4.7 HO Jeep, I get the best fuel economy with the performance tune, enough so to justify the cost of premium fuel. Although it costs more to fill up, my cost per mile driven is a bit better than stock or the 87 octane or XS mileage tunes, plus you get the added performance to boot...

I haven't used towing but for HO I can't say I care for Mileage or 87 tune. The stock HO tune did about as good for fuel economy. I like the Performance's acceleration but I can't tell a difference in firmer shifts and I think it shifts at the same RPM as stock. It definitely doesn't seem to shift like when I put it on my bros ram.

I've had my on 91 tune running 93 gas for two tanks now and I've my average MPG is 16.5 mixed driving and a semi-heavy foot. I had it on the milage tune for one tank and I was getting a little better with 17.4 (I think, didn't write it down).

Does everyone that has the 3865 shift at 3k for 1-2? Mine usually shifts around 2k normal driving.

I have not really payed close attention to my MPG, but it has gone up some since running just the 87 tune. I did notice the 1-2 shift is at about 3K unless very, very light on the throttle. I actually just had my trans, and diff. fluids changed out today. I'm curious if it wil be a little smoother now. I need to flash back the tune.

I must be pretty tired today. My truck shifts around 3k for the 1-2 shift for the tunes. I have no idea why I was thinking 2k. I'm glad its the weekend.
