Comp Cams has started a thread on their boards. We're looking to get everyone to create an account and post on there. Hopefully this link works;

Good job guys... Lets see if we can recruit more 4.7L owners to particapate on that forum... If anyone knows of other forums that have 4.7l owners who would be intrested in performance... send them to the COMP CAMS fourum to log in and post... This is where we prove the demand is there... This is not the time to give up... so lets all join together and show comp that there is a demand!

Here is my response from comp cams.. Hopefully we are pushing hard enough.
We have the engineering department looking into it at the moment.
We should know something in the next few months and I will get them to post something on the CompCams website when they get something going for the 4.7 SOHC dodge motor.
By the way hello all! I have read through much of the forum in the last couple months. Thanks for all the great info so far. Truck is still stock at the moment, but plan to have CAI and tuner in the next 2 months, exhaust and TB in February.

Dodge replaced one of my 2007 HO cams, in July, but yet in Aug it says they are still working on making HO cams? Sure hope they didn't just stick in a standard 4.7, Dodge told my dealership it was the right one. If they made a huge differance in bottom end power to offset the high cost(gotta have 2 of 'em!) I might be interested...It gets me that they put so much more intake duration and lift than exhaust, this with an engine already with huge intake valves compared to the small exhaust valves, seems it begs for a proper set of cams! Intake Valves as big as a 360, yet exhaust valves smaller then a 273 Dodge

I've been told that they do that for heat retention in the aluminum head.
