if its the metal reinforcement bar bumper right behind the plastic front bumper then it is bolted on to the frame horn crush bars. I bought my truck (07 model) in feb 2008 wrecked. the plastic bumper cost me $150 from dodge. and the metal bar i got for $105. the metal bar is held on with 8 nuts/bolts. 4 on each frame rail. easy to get to when plastic is off. wow....lol... i read the first post and last post. never read the in between stuff. guess im too late

Default Kennesaw Mountain bumper

I had my bumper removed custom, a little ford cougar pulled out in front of me while I was doing 40 MPH, I went ahead and got the offroad bumper. Had to elongate the holes though, as it mounted too high. No issue, as of yet, I've been cut off by an explorer and the bumper completely buckled it's back end.

not much really, had to use a tranny jack to install it though. it serves it's purpose...nothing like seeing people freak out when I'm merging onto the freeway...priceless
