I too have taken my sway bar off. I feel as if the truck handles better. At least in a wet parking lot I can swerve left or right and floor it when moving and break the rear end loose

Maybe because it was rubbing against the front tire somehow causing him to wipe out? Agreed that the lack of the bar itself couldn't have caused it.

I let my wife take the truck camping with some girls from work and she got back earlier today and told me there was a weird noise when she turned the wheel and that the truck was overheating when she went around hairpin turns in the mountains. Turns out both of the sway bar links went out, presumably on a washboard dirt road with 4 women, two dogs and a weekend's worth of gear driving a little too fast. Snap! This caused the bar to rotate and rub against the tire at tight angles. Thinking I can tap it out of the way and take it easy on my short drive to the bus stop each morning until my replacements get here later this week.

I think next time they want to go camping I will need the truck to help one of my buddies move.
