Today I installed a dynomax 2 1/4" muffler in my truck and it runs real quiet. I hear it somewhat at WOT. How could I make it louder? If I take the resonator out will it be crazy loud?

 

The resonators need to come out to get the rumble you want. With the stock resonators gone and stock muffler swapped for a performance muffler, it will sound perfect.

 

If you've read the posts on my exhaust system, I now have that "perfect" rumble in town.

I found the "sweet spot" out on the highway at 2200 rpm (also found fifth gear) around 78 mph.

Couldn't be happier!!!!!!!!!

 

I left the front resonator in. Pulled the stock muffler and everything after it including the second resonator and tail pipe. Then i went with a Thrush Glass pak $25 and dumped it underneath the truck.

It gots a nice low rumble and good tone overall.

 

Dump the res! I had one Res and the huge stock muffler and when I put the Cherry Bomb Pro on I dumped everything and went new from the y back. It will be what you are looking for IMO
