This is what I had done with mine a couple years ago. I had a write up on it but the pics dropped off while I was deployed.
I upgraded the dop in filter to the airaid one. The base could be used also if you used the Airaid Quick fit kit that sits on top of the factory base.

Good thinking Sleds, I did something similiar with my hood, scoop and a home made ram-air box.
