Default Trans pan gasket removal

Hey all,
Getting ready to do my trans filters and fluid change, what do you guys use to clean the gasket material off of the pan surface?

Last time I did this I used carb cleaner razor blade and scotch bright pad, and it took longer to clean this gasket surface than it did to do the rest of the job! or it seemed like it anyway.

I spotted some gasket removal "stuff" somewhere, but wanted to know how you all do it.

Thanks,
LB

I use a wire brush on a drill to remove the old RTV and brake cleaner to remove the residue. Carb cleaner has oil in it to lube internal parts, brake cleaner has no oil and leaves the surface squeakey clean and oil free so the new RTV adheres perfectly!
