Default Truck Running Rough

Hey Folks....

You know when your driving your Betsey, or whatever you call your truck ) and you know somethings not right.... I am there.

Got an oil change about three weeks ago, oil filter as well, engine filter no. Since then, its running rough. Could be coincidence. She idles weird. Went she is at normal idle, like 500rpm's, every now any then she vibrates. The whole truck, you feel it in your butt. When driving, it feels as if she lost some power and spunk. Step on the gas, response is slow. RPM gauge not really fluctuating. Changing from drive to reverse etc all seems fine, however, every now and then, she shifts hard. Not like slamming into a gear, but more like a long shift time.

Anyone have any idea what I am talking about? Any suggestions on what this problem could be? She has 80,000 KMS, (not miles) on her. 2006.

If i check the plugs, what would I be looking for? Lose wires or something? Maybe I should just replace the plugs. Not sure what the plug lifecycle is .

There is no wires on this truck...

Plug on coil...

You say you have 80,000 kms on it...

So about 48,000 miles... if I'm correct...

Prolly could use a change...

Why have a dealer do it?

They will want to put Champions in it...

And with labor and plugs, it'll be prolly 150 dollar job, Canadian funds...

Or you can buy Autolites from Wal Mart, or somewhere, for like 20 bucks, Canadian, and do it yourself...

Changing your own plugs takes 30 minutes. 45 if you check the gaps and adjust (reccomended). Dealers mess their pants over jobs like that, it's free money.

I would recommend picking up some Autolite 3923 plugs (3922 if you have the HO Motor) and doing it yourself. If you don't have a gap tool you can get one when you get the plugs, they're very cheap. The hardest part is the passenger side plug near the firewall, you'll want a few socket extensions.
