I thought only the upper one was riveted.
I had a guy tell me that the upper you need to buy the whole a arm for 06. It does look like it to me because there are no rivet's anywhere or any snap rings like the bottom one..

Well, i know for a fact you need to replace the entire upper arm for the tops, but the bottom, moog makes a part number for, for JUST the balljoint....its like $50. I am nearly 100% positive you can change the lowers without replacing the lower control arm.

Do you need the PN?

I was on advanceautoparts.com and they give the price $54.99 pn k80605, but when I call they say they can't even get any ball joint's for my truck.

I had the car on a jack and put a prybar under the wheel. There didnt seem to be any movement or seperation of the ball joint.

Yes i does sound like that but not as frequent....it realy only happens at slower speeds on bumps.....do you still think it the balljoints?

After working on the front end of my 06 Dakota, I found the source of my left-front noise. The stabilizer bar end link connector on the left side is worn at the bottom.

I thought it was a ball joint, but it was the ball-socket end of the end link connector. I just got them in from rockauto.com. I will replace them this weekend.
