Why not test it with an voltmeter if you can get your hands on one

It wont take long if the alt is junk. I know the autozone guys are sometimes retards, but have them check the alt, battery and codes. I am sure there is a CEL on right now for a dead battery, alt low signal, etc. There are like 4 possibilities for your problem that would illuminate the CEL

Its running fine now, just did a read that said after fully replacing the battery, the idle memory has to re-set itself after a few minutes. This because of having no power in the truck.

Good. Glad to hear. I would still check to make sure the alternator isn't bad and killing the new battery.

yea mopar doesnt invest the greatest amount of money on OEM batteries. mine went dead just last month out of nowhere like yours. glad to hear its up and going
