yea he would but that wouldn't be a bad place to start. front resonator, with the dynomax where the 2nd resonator was and straight pipe where the muffler was. adn if not good enough, he can also change the front resonator eventually.

You said you took the muffler next to the spare out and put in the dynomax. So is the dynomax next to the spare? The "muffler" next to the spare is not the muffler but a resonator. Did you put that back on and then put the dynomax under where the long cylinder muffler is?

I took both resonators out and put the dynomax in.....but im a lazy f*@$ so i didnt bother with the hump and now the exhaust tip is in front of the rear tire behind the passangerside door.....is that an issue that needs to be adressed right away or can it stay that way for a little while?

Ok it goes like this. motor, headers, two cats after the downpipes, then they converge to one pipe and then the stock muffler is a big cylinder, then the square thing is the resonator. i wouldnt take the cats off unless u wana get a lil fine but cut the muffler and the resonator off. i use a flowmaster 40 HD series. it sounds good. but put a muffler on there so u still create back pressure.

That seems to be the pattern for the 07 and newer dakota, but some of the older ones have a second res before the muffler ( big cylinder)
