It was a 07 thing. Laramie for sure maybe SLT. I wonder does 08 09 or 10 have auto pwr. window up left side? I like that feature on rental vehicles I had.

Just put the key in ACC and the windows will work. Personally I never saw any added value in having them keep working after you take the key out but till you open the door. When I shut the truck off I'm likely getting out, or if I'm going to sit in it for awhile I just flip it back into ACC (if you turn the key quickly the radio doesn't even turn off).

my celica, a 1992 GT, will let the windows roll down for a minute after the key is in the off position...

my truck, a 2006 SLT, will only do it while key is in on position, or ACC...

I'll have to check next time I'm in the truck, but I thought my windows will work before I open the door. 05 SLT.

'06 SLT and once the key is pulled, windows and radio are dead.

Occasionally I have to put my key back in, turn to ACC, and then roll up one of the windows I missed. If anyone finds a trick for this, like how to turn the seat-belt chime off, let us know please!

Here is how to kill the seatbelt chime.

1. With truck off, connect driver's seatbelt.
2. Turn truck on, wait for seatbelt light to go off.
3. Disconnect seat belt, reconnect it, do it again, one more time, ending with the seatbelt buckled, (the third time is the charm). You should hear one chirp and you have done it. This all has to be completed within one minute of turning your truck on.

This will also work on Durango's. Not sure about Ram's

Yea I knew about the seatbelt trick. I was hoping there was a similar trick to get the windows to work after turning the ignition off.

Guess its just an 07+ thing..
