i know that from the factory the V6 can have 3.21, 3.55, or 3.91 gears. I assume there are aftermarket gears that can be had for that axle. I have driven both the 3.21 and 3.91 v6 dak and there is a noticible difference!

 

How do I find out what gears I have?

 

Get a gear set for made for your axle and you can have whatever you want...

Round housing = 8.25"
Octagon housing = 9.25"

Search the forum, use Google. Gearing has been beaten to a pulp here

 

I have the 3.55 gears now the 08's only came in 3.55. I could get the stock 3.9 gears put in.

 

I have 3.55 gear. so switching to 3.90 gears will help out alot. I will also be getting the headers soon.
